Casting actors, singers and dancers for a new musical journey through the timeless Christmas tale of Ebenezer Scrooge. All audition material will be provided and taught on audition day. Actors of all experience and skill levels are encouraged to audition. These auditions are for the adult roles, ages 18 and up.
This adaptation has more than sixty characters and was written for a company of about twenty, so nearly every actor except Scrooge plays two, three or four people across the evening: a Londoner in one scene, a party guest in the next, a ghost after the interval. Who doubles as whom is the director’s call, so audition for the roles that interest you and expect to pick up a few more.

Scrooge's underpaid, endlessly good-natured clerk. Warm, quick to laugh, devoted to his family. Sings with the company.

A jolly, generous giant who shows Scrooge the world keeping Christmas, and the spectral children Ignorance and Want beneath his robe. Big presence, big voice.
A silent, hooded phantom. Never speaks a word; the role is carried entirely by movement.
The warm-hearted merchant Scrooge apprenticed for as a young man, and host of the great Christmas Eve party in the past. “Yo ho, my boys!” Dances, toasts and leads the wassail.
Scrooge as an apprentice at Fezziwig's: shy, earnest and falling in love with Belle before ambition hardens him.
Bob's wife. Practical and fiercely loyal, she keeps the Cratchit household together on almost nothing.
The young woman Ebenezer was engaged to and lost when money became his idol. Gentle, direct and clear-eyed about the man he is becoming.
Fezziwig's wife and co-host of the great Christmas Eve party in Scrooge's past: warm, quick and every bit her husband's match on the dance floor. Sings and dances with the company.
Scrooge's put-upon housekeeper (a role this adaptation adds to Dickens), muttering “Merry Christmas to you too, you old crow.” Sharp comic cameo.
Fred's wife and hostess of the Christmas party Scrooge watches from the shadows, with plenty to say about her husband's uncle.
The adult ensemble sings the Londoners, carolers, Fezziwig's party guests and Fred's Christmas company, and most of these parts are shared out among the principal and featured actors above. The original production was staged with a company of twenty; CLT's casting will be set by the director.

These auditions are for the adult roles, ages 18 and up. No preparation needed. All audition material will be provided and taught on audition day. Director Pat Gosnell, Music Director Megan Ropp and Choreographer Clara Farnell will be in the room.
